Worship & Outreach Outreach
1.  We embrace and claim for ourselves and in our time the Bible as an authoritative living witness
to the Word of God and the Apostles’ Creed as a testimony of our faith:

Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.

He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the
right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

2.  God, who formed us in the womb and who knew us before we were born, intentionally and lovingly
creating our whole being including our sexual orientation and gender identity; and preordained our
whole authentic selves to be used as God’s chosen instrument unto good works and to the glory
    of Almighty God.

3.  God invites us into a rich relationship offered freely by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; sealed
and inspired by the Holy Spirit we discover a purpose driven and abundant life now and forever.

Reconciling Journey Ministries
Affirming GLBT Christians and seekers in their daily walk
We are each individually and as a community called to demonstrate the radically inclusive love of Jesus Christ.  Reconciling Journey Ministries recognizes the need for local affirming and welcoming communities in which all are equipped to deepen their relationship with God through Jesus.  Communities of faith should invite everyone, without exception, to recognize and exercise their unique God given spiritual gifts. It's critical that we gather together in community for praise, prayer, worship, encouragement, and for coming together to meet global and local needs.

We come together in community to strengthen one another, pray for one another, and summon the courage to confront the injustices of our world by living and serving God openly as redeemed, justified, chosen, called, and Holy Spirit power filled persons of faith.

We believe God calls all people to be fully reconciled to God through Jesus. We have the opportunity to live abundant, whole, joy filled, and purpose driven lives.

The Upper Room Fellowship is a place to enjoy and engage in life changing community, extend and receive an open welcome to Holy Communion, encourage and pray for one another, praise and worship a loving and interactive God, and learn together and grow deeper in our relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

In an effort to provide a safe place to express spiritual gifts and reach out to the entire community, both gay and straight, Reconciling Journey is supporting the launch and development of a local weekly gathering called The Upper Room Fellowship.

The Fellowship's goal is to provide a safe worship and spiritual community space for all people and, as importantly, to reach out to the broader community with a radically inclusive message that God uses each of us, including those of us on the margins, to change the world with the love and message of an abundant, meaningful, service driven, and joy filled life offered through a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
